Parental Consent Agreement

Lekture: AI Reading Tutor | Klever Kiddoz, LLC

Effective Date: July 1, 2026

This is the consent agreement required by U.S. children's privacy law (COPPA). You must read and agree to this before creating a child profile. Your email verification constitutes your electronic signature and binding consent.

Who Must Complete This

This must be completed by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or older. If you are not the parent or guardian of the child, you may not complete this consent.

What You Are Consenting To

By confirming this consent, you authorize Klever Kiddoz, LLC to collect and use the following information to operate the Lekture reading tutor for your child:

Your Child's Profile

We collect a profile name, age or grade level, and an optional photo. This personalizes the experience and tracks progress over time.

Reading Session Records

After each session we record words read correctly and incorrectly, accuracy scores, and the text your child read. This powers the progress reports you see as a parent.

Your Child's Voice

When your child reads aloud, their voice is sent to our AI pronunciation service in real time. We want you to understand exactly how this works:

• The voice is streamed, not recorded and stored by Lekture

• The AI service is instructed to delete the audio immediately after assessment

• No audio is kept on our servers or on your device

• Your child's voice is never used to train any AI model

• We have a signed agreement with our AI provider that prohibits them from retaining or training on this audio

Camera Use

The app uses the rear camera to read printed text. In standard use, all camera processing happens on the device and nothing is sent to a server. In the optional Book Creation feature, page photos are sent to our AI provider for text processing only. Those images are never stored on our servers.

What We Promise We Will Not Do

• Sell your child's data

• Show your child any advertising

• Use your child's data to train any AI model

• Share your child's data with any company not named in our Privacy Policy

• Track your child's location

• Allow your child to communicate with other users

Your Rights

At any time you may:

• Review your child's data by emailing Hello@Lekture.ai

• Correct any profile information in the app

• Request deletion of your child's data and account

• Withdraw this consent by deleting your account, which triggers full data deletion within 90 days

Contact us at Hello@Lekture.ai to exercise any right. We respond within 5 business days.

Data Retention

We keep your child's data while your account is active. When you delete an account or profile, all data is permanently deleted from our servers within 90 days automatically.

By clicking the confirmation link sent to your email, you confirm: (1) you are the parent or legal guardian of the child or children for whom you are creating profiles; (2) you are at least 18 years of age; (3) you have read and understood this agreement and the Lekture Privacy Policy; and (4) you consent to the collection and use of your child's personal information as described above. This electronic confirmation is your legally binding consent under COPPA.
